Overview
iConnect ("the App") is a personal contact and networking tracker. Your privacy is fundamental to how this app is designed.
Data collection
iConnect does not collect, transmit, or share the personal data you enter.
All data you enter into iConnect – contacts, interactions, notes, tags – is stored exclusively on your device using a local SQLite database. No data ever leaves your phone.
What the app does not do
- We do not collect analytics or usage data
- We do not use tracking pixels, cookies, or advertising identifiers
- We do not transmit your contacts, interactions, or notes to any server, cloud service, or third party
- We do not require an account or login
- We do not access your contacts, camera, or location without explicit action from you
Microphone and speech recognition
When you use the voice note feature, iConnect passes the audio to the speech recognition service built into your operating system (Apple on iOS, Google on Android). Depending on your device, your language, and your system settings, that service may process the audio on the device or send it to Apple or Google for processing. This is handled by your operating system under Apple's and Google's own privacy policies. iConnect itself never records, stores, or transmits audio: we receive only the resulting text, which is saved locally on your device.
Error log
If something goes wrong, iConnect writes the error and the code path that produced it to a log on your device, together with the app version. Nothing is sent anywhere. There is no crash reporting service behind this app.
The log holds at most the 25 most recent errors and never contains your contacts, interactions, notes or tags. Anything resembling an e-mail address or phone number is replaced with a placeholder before it is written. You can read, share or delete the log at any time under Settings, About, Error log. Sharing it is your action and the only way it ever leaves the device. No analytics, usage tracking or screen tracking of any kind is collected.
Subscriptions
iConnect offers an optional premium subscription ("iConnect Pro") through your app store's in-app purchase system (Apple on iOS, Google Play on Android), with subscription status managed by RevenueCat. Payment processing is handled entirely by the store. We do not receive, store, or have access to your payment information. RevenueCat receives an anonymous, app-generated identifier in order to tell the app whether your subscription is active; it is not linked to your name, e-mail address, or any contact you store in iConnect.
Data export
You may export your data as a JSON file via the Settings screen. This file is generated locally and shared only through your device’s share sheet at your discretion.
Data deletion
You can delete all your data at any time through Settings > Delete all data. You can also delete individual contacts and interactions. Deleted data is permanently removed from the local database.
Children's privacy
iConnect is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If we update this privacy policy, we will post the new version within the app and update the "Last updated" date above.
